GLENDALE, Ariz. — The Seahawks entered Sunday’s game third in fewest points allowed, but by dominating the Cardinals 36-6 they did something no NFL team has done in the Super Bowl era: They allowed the fewest points in the league for a fourth consecutive year.
It was a dominant and classic performance by the Seahawks against the Cardinals, who had the NFL’s best offense this season.
The Cardinals pulled their starters after halftime, but look at the first-half numbers. Carson Palmer, a potential MVP candidate, completed 12 of 25 passes for 129 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
