Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett returned to practice for the first time since undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.
The 31-year-old Bennett injured his right knee in Seattle's Week 6 victory over the Falcons on a cut block from Atlanta tackle Jake Matthews. He played 81 snaps the next week versus the Arizona Cardinals, but felt some discomfort in the knee late in the game. After an MRI revealed cartilage damage undiscovered the week prior, Bennett underwent a procedure to repair the knee on Nov. 3.
"Surgery never feels good, when somebody's taking a knife and slicing your body, but I think overall it will be better in the long run," Bennett said during a press conference at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton on Wednesday.
