The Seattle Seahawks added a new face to their running back unit on Monday, claiming third-year pro Mike Davis off waivers.
The signing of Davis, who was waived by the San Francisco 49ers on Friday, gives Seattle 11 running backs on its current offseason roster.
Drafted 126th overall in the fourth round in 2015, Davis didn't see the field very often in San Francisco, running for 108 yards and a touchdown on 54 carries in 14 career games (one start). With his 64 career touches, the 5-foot-9, 217-pound Davis has a 19.5 elusive rating, which would have been the fourth-worst among running backs in 2016, according to Pro Football Focus.
