Though K.J. Wright and D.J. Fluker were expected to miss the Seattle Seahawks’ first game of the season, and will, Nazair Jones’ name is a surprise addition.
The second year defensive tackle played much better than expected in his rookie year, and was presumably set for another year in a rotational role. At least initially, it appears as though Jones is the odd man out in a deep group of defensive tackles.
Another surprising name to see was Mike Davis, who appeared to have won the third down back competition in preseason.
