The Seattle Seahawks announced major changes to the coaching staff on Wednesday, confirming the previously reported firings of offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and offensive line coach Tom Cable. Bevell released this brief statement on his departure from the team he’d been with since 2011:
“I would like to thank the entire Seahawks organization for seven great seasons. I can’t thank Mr. Allen, Pete Carroll, John Schneider, our coaching staff and players enough for the support and hard work they put in to help build the championship success of this team.”
Two other assistant coaches who appeared to be on their way out have not officially been let go.
