SEATTLE (AP) — The Seattle Seahawks have addressed one of their biggest questions before the start of free agency by agreeing to terms on a new deal with defensive tackle Ahtyba Rubin.
The team confirmed the agreement with Rubin, but terms of the deal were not immediately available on Monday night. Fox Sports reported it was a three-year deal. Rubin was a priority signing for Seattle with fellow defensive tackle Brandon Mebane also an unrestricted free agent and no obvious replacements already on the roster.
Rubin came to Seattle last season on a one-year deal betting that he could parlay that performance into a longer-term agreement.
