The Seattle Seahawks have signed safety Akeem Davis and tight end Anthony McCoy to the 53-man active roster, the team announced Wednesday.
The two fill openings on the roster created by the releases earlier this week of CB Cary Williams and TE Chase Coffman.
Per the team’s media release: Davis spent time in Seattle’s rookie minicamp in 2013 and signed with the Washington Redskins as a free agent on April 10, 2014. He has also spent time with the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has played in 15 career games with one assisted tackle and one forced fumble on defense, and 12 tackles (eight solo) and one forced fumble on special teams.
