For the first time this season, new Seattle Seahawks tight end Ed Dickson will be active and on the 53-man roster. Having spent preseason and all of the regular season on the Non-Football Injury list, he’s healthy and ready to make his Seahawks debut on Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
Of course, with Dickson available and Nick Vannett also slated to return after missing the Oakland Raiders game with injury, someone from the roster had to be let go, and unsurprisingly it’s a tight end. The team confirmed on Saturday that Tyrone Swoopes, who was a last-minute promotion from the practice squad to the active roster to replace the injured Vannett, is the odd man out.
