Seahawks activate Dion Jordan off PUP, but will he be ready Week 1?

RENTON, Wash. -- The Seattle Seahawks cut 33 players on Saturday, trimming their roster to the NFL-mandated 53 players. Here’s a closer look at the final cuts:

Most significant move: It's a huge break for the Seahawks that defensive end Dion Jordan isn't beginning the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list given how thin they are on capable pass-rushers. The fact that they activated Jordan doesn't necessarily mean that he'll be ready to play by Week 1. It does indicate that they think he'll be back at some point within the first few weeks; he would have to miss at least six games had he started the season on PUP.
