The Seahawks have made a trade as they attempt to cut their roster down to 53 players Saturday, acquiring safety Kelcie McCray from the Chiefs. Adam Schefter reports it's for a fifth-round pick.
McCray was draft eligible in 2012 out of Arkansas State and went undrafted. He's listed at 6'1, 202 pounds, and has spent time with the Dolphins, Bucs, and Chiefs. A little trivia: the Chiefs acquired McCray from the Bucs for Rishaw Johnson, a former Seahawk. McCray is 26 years old, and adds depth to a defensive secondary that is inexperienced and young behind Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor.
