First impressions from The Seahawks’ 20-3 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
Bob Condotta: Throughout Seattle’s struggles through the first six games, one thing no one ever questioned has been the play of defensive ends Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett. If possible those two took their play to an even higher level against the 49ers, combining for four sacks in the first half, with Bennett finishing with 3.5 and Avril 1.5 as the Seahawks with a season-high six sacks. That’s the most since Seattle also had six against the 49ers last December in Seattle.
Larry Stone: The Seahawks’ defense was utterly dominant against the overmatched 49ers, but the most welcome sight of the game for Seattle was seeing vintage Marshawn Lynch.
