The Seahawks made a transaction and a couple of updates to their injured list Saturday that solidified their 53-man roster and answered a couple questions heading into Sunday’s NFC West showdown against the Rams in Los Angeles.
Specifically, the Seahawks signed defensive end Branden Jackson off the practice squad while waiving linebacker Justin March-Lillard to make room on the 53-man roster, while also declaring that cornerback Jeremy Lane and C.J. Prosise are out for Sunday’s game.
The Seahawks needed Jackson to add depth on the defensive line with Cliff Avril out with a neck/spine injury and Quinton Jefferson — signed on Monday to add depth with Avril out indefinitely — out at least a month after breaking his hand in practice on Wednesday.
