For all intents and purposes, despite having one handoff snap against the Atlanta Falcons, backup quarterback Sam Howell made his Seattle Seahawks debut on Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers. It did not go well.

Geno Smith’s knee injury forced Howell into his first meaningful action of the season, no doubt an unenviable task behind a bad offensive line and facing a 20-3 deficit.
