Russell Wilson’s Extension Ensures Seattle Seahawks Will Continue to Contend

It was only last week quarterback Russell Wilson turned down a reported multi-year deal that was worth $21 million per season. Since then, he has taken flak from every direction. The biggest argument being it is selfish of him to ask to be the highest paid player at his position when the Seattle Seahawks need to ensure they keep their core intact. Whether fans agree Wilson should or should not have been paid as much as he requested is now irrelevant, as the signal caller signed a four-year, $87.6 million contract with the Seahawks.
