According to a report from nfl.com’s Ian Rappaport, Russell Wilson’s agent has told the Seattle Seahawks that any discussions about a new contract will come to an end the minute Wilson steps on the field for training camp, which begins July 31st.

I expected a bit more panic from Seahawks faithful that this was some sort of tragic confirmation of the ridiculous Mike Florio-fed notion that Wilson will be allowed to walk when his contract expires after this season. The incessant back and forth about the status of these negotiations has caused a relative numbness among fans.
