Russell Wilson reacts to Drew Brees becoming NFL’s all-time passing yards leader

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees needed 201 yards to become the NFL’s all-time leader in passing yards, and on Monday Night Football against Washington, he eclipsed Peyton Manning’s 71,940 yards in the first half.

Brees targeted Tre’Quan Smith in the 2nd quarter, as he got behind Josh Norman (who was later benched) and easily evaded safety Montae Nicholson along the sidelines for a 62-yard touchdown. Drew was mobbed by his teammates before going to his wife and four children to celebrate the record.

There’s plenty of reaction around the league as you might expect, including from Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson, who has looked at Brees as an inspirational figure for his own career.
