Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson had never been injured in his career until a high ankle sprain suffered in Week 1 vs the Miami Dolphins. He didn’t miss any time or practice with that injury (go figure) but that wasn’t the case on the second injury of his career; Wilson hurt his knee on a sack (negated by penalty) by San Francisco 49ers linebacker Eli Harold on Sunday and left the game.
He returned one play later but was again removed and replaced by backup Trevone Boykin for most of the second half.
Wilson had a knee brace put on during the game and wanted to return but coaches wouldn’t allow it.
