For 15 seasons, Rocky Seto has been at Pete Carroll’s side, as an assistant of some sort. Now, the Seattle Seahawks mainstay is leaving the team to become a minister, according to a report by Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.
Seto, 40, has most recently served as the Seahawks’ assistant head coach for defense.
Previously, Seto rose quickly through the ranks with Carroll at USC. In 1999 he joined the staff as a voluntary assistant, then coached safeties in 2002-03, linebackers in 2004-05, the secondary in 2006-08 before being promoted to defensive coordinator in 2009.
