Reports emerged late Monday that the Seattle Seahawks will hire Mike Solari to be the offensive line coach to replace Tom Cable. This will be Solari’s second stint with the Seahawks, having coached the offensive line for Seattle under Mike Holmgren and Jim Mora in 2008 and 2009.
Solari also has ties to both Pete Carroll and John Schneider. He was tight ends coach and assistant offensive line coach for the San Francisco 49ers in 1995 and 1996 while Carroll was the defensive coordinator, and he was the offensive line coach in the late 1990s when Schneider was in the front office of the Kansas City Chiefs.
