Seahawks wide receiver Jermaine Kearse won't take a "hometown discount" to stay in Seattle, according to a Thursday report.
Kearse, 25, a Lakewood native and former Lakes High School and University of Washington star, will be an unrestricted free agent on March 15. And according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Kearse wants to take full advantage of testing the open market for the first time in his career.
"I love my hometown, but I've put in too much hard work to give a discount," Kearse told Schefter in a report published on Facebook on Thursday. "My number one priority is to take care of my family's future, so I will consider all opportunities.
