One day after the Seattle Seahawks’ penultimate game of the 2018 NFL preseason, the team has opted to move on from wide receiver Tanner McEvoy, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero.
This is hardly surprising news given how much praise David Moore and (to a lesser extent) Keenan Reynolds have garnered throughout training camp and into preseason. Add in the possibility of veteran Brandon Marshall making the 53-man roster and there was always e a strong possibility that McEvoy’s days in Seattle were numbered.
Brought on as an undrafted free agent in 2016, McEvoy became the Seahawks’ #5 wide receiver on the depth chart.
