Report: Seahawks bringing in recently released J.R. Sweezy for a visit

Just days after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers released right guard J.R. Sweezy, it looks as if the first team giving him a look is the one that drafted him back in 2012.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport wrote on Monday that the Seattle Seahawks are bringing in Sweezy for both a visit and a physical.

Sweezy is best known as being one of Tom Cable’s “project” players, converting him from a college defensive lineman into an offensive lineman. Soon enough, he became Seattle’s starting right guard, and turned that into a free agent payday in the 2016 offseason, signing a five-year, $32.
