A familiar face is reportedly returning to Seattle.
ESPN’s Brady Henderson reported on Thursday that the Seahawks have signed Cassius Marsh to a one-year contract. Marsh was released by the San Francisco 49ers last month after they traded for Dee Ford.
The 26-year-old Marsh was drafted by Seattle as a fourth-round pick in 2014, but didn’t really see his playing time on defense increase significantly until 2016. That proved to be his best season with the team, recording three sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Marsh was also a regular special teams contributor, which included a blocked field goal against the Miami Dolphins to begin the 2016 regular season.
