So much for that short-lived reunion between the Seattle Seahawks and linebacker Mychal Kendricks. A day after the Seahawks released Kendricks from their practice squad, in addition to fellow linebacker Michael Divinity, the Seattle Times’ Bob Condotta reports that Kendricks will be returning to Seattle.
Hearing Mychal Kendricks will sign back to Seattle’s practice squad today. Was going to sign with another team but that didn’t work out so he’ll be back with Seahawks.

While it comes across as an odd situation, it seems as though this was the Seahawks trying to do Kendricks a solid: another team, with a clearer path to their 53-man roster, wanted to sign him to their practice squad and so Seattle released him.
