The Seattle Seahawks have lost their second contributor from the 2018 team on the first day of the legal tampering period. Running back Mike Davis has reportedly agreed to a contract with the Chicago Bears, leaving Seattle after two seasons.
The terms of the deal—which can’t officially be signed until free agency opens—aren’t yet known, but NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport referred to Davis’ deal as a “big payday.” The 26-year-old running back hit the open market at the right time, fresh off a season which saw him hit career highs in rushing yards (514) and touchdowns (four), as well as breaking the century mark in carries for the first time.
