Unless something drastically changes in the next few hours, Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor will begin the third week of his contract holdout on Friday, the same day the Hawks kick off their preseason slate against the Denver Broncos.
The 27-year-old hasn’t directly addressed exactly what his problem is with the four-year, $28 million extension he signed in 2013, but according to a Thursday report from Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, Chancellor expected to be rewarded with a new contract from Seattle after developing into one of the league’s most feared defenders.
