In a major move right before Monday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks, the Philadelphia Eagles are reshuffling the defensive coaching staff.
Former Seahawks assistant Sean Desai, who was hired by the Eagles as defensive coordinator earlier this offseason, has essentially been demoted from his job. NFL insider Jay Glazer reports that Desai has been reassigned to another role within the team, paving the way for former Detroit Lions head coach and ex-New England Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia to call the plays and run the defense.
A little @Eagles scoopage today: Philly very quietly made a change at defensive coordinator this week moving out Sean Desai to another position and replacing him with Matt Patricia.
