Of the four teams on Russell Wilson’s apparent list of places he’d waive his no-trade clause for, the Chicago Bears were the most aggressive as far as pursuing the Seattle Seahawks quarterback. There were reports that the Bears would take a heavy swing and hope they’d hit a home run.
Well they struck out.
Chicago has signed veteran Andy Dalton to a one-year, $10 million deal and presumably he’ll be in competition if not the favorite to be a starter. That probably clued enough people into the idea that the Bears weren’t going to land Wilson, and now ESPN’s Adam Schefter says that the Seahawks ain’t trading Russ.
