With the new extensions for Wilson and Wagner we knew that someone was going to get released or restructured. It happened to be Tony McDaniel who had a cap hit of $3.625 million. This will save the Seahawks $3 million in cap space.

It also creates a hole in the top 51 offseason salary cap as well which will be filled by Gary Gilliam’ s $514,000 cap hit. In the end it’s a cap saving of about $2.5 million.
