LOS ANGELES — Just when Rashaad Penny had become the player the Seahawks always envisioned he could be when they drafted him in the first round in 2018, he appeared to suffer a significant knee injury Sunday night.

Penny, who was the 27th overall pick in 2018 out of San Diego State, left the game after being injured on Seattle’s first series of the game and was initially listed as questionable to return, and then, after being evaluated on the sidelines, was downgraded to out.
