The Seattle Seahawks announced the signing of quarterback Austin Davis today. The most interesting aspect of this signing will be how fans react to the new veteran backup in Seattle being Davis and not Colin Kaepernick. Davis visited the Seahawks the same day as Kaepernick on May 24th.
Davis is a six-year vet who has played with the Los Angeles Rams, Cleveland Browns and the Denver Broncos. He played with the Broncos in 2016 but saw no game action. With the Browns in 2015, Davis started two games and the Browns lost them both. This should come as no surprise, though, as any quarterback would have had a losing record in Cleveland.
