Promoted Seahawks WR Kasen Williams ready to prove himself

Kasen Williams' second professional season has been a frustrating exercise in patience.

After working his way up the Seahawks' depth chart in his rookie 2015 season, the former Skyline High School and University of Washington star seemed like a good bet to make the team's 53-man active roster this year. But a hamstring injury cost him most of training camp and three preseason games, all but nullifying his chances of making the team.

The 24-year-old has spent all but one week of the 2016 season on Seattle's practice squad, but with fellow second-year pro Tyler Lockett lost for the season after breaking his fibula and tibia in last week's loss to the Arizona Cardinals, Williams will finally get his opportunity to show he belongs.
