The Seattle Seahawks trimmed their roster from 90 players to 75 on Monday, one day ahead of the NFL’s deadline to do so.
Their moves — which included terminating the contract of center Lemuel Jeanpierre, trading wide receiver Kevin Norwood and placing cornerback Jeremy Lane and wide receiver Paul Richardson on the reserve/physically unable to perform list — give us a clearer picture of where the team stands less than a week before they must make their final round of cuts on Sept. 5.
There are still plenty of intriguing roster battles, notably at wide receiver, defensive tackle and the secondary.
