Seattle Seahawks linebacker Shaquem Griffin joined the latest podcast to talk about his work in partnership with The Hartford as part of its Ability Equipped program. On Thursday, Shaquem helped to award an 11-year-old boy and 33-year-old woman, both with cerebral palsy, with equipment to assist with their training efforts and he reflected on that experience.
Shaquem talked about why he prefers not to use the term ‘disabled’ as well as how much of a role his brother Shaquill played in finding ways to compete against each other as kids. From competing as kids to competing for and winning an NFC West title for the first time with the Seahawks, we discussed the feeling in the locker room about winning the division this season.
