Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told Sports Illustrated that the offseason following Seattle’s heartbreaking Super Bowl XLIX loss has been “thrilling,” and that he’s excited to show how his team can bounce back from a crushing loss.
In a piece by Greg Bishop that will run on the cover of the Aug. 3 issue of the magazine (you can read the whole thing online here), Carroll acknowledged that the Seahawks gave away a chance at back-to-back Super Bowl titles with their decision to throw the ball from the 1-yard line facing second-and-goal with less than 30 seconds left.
