The ghosts of Super Bowls past haunted the Seahawks' win over the Los Angeles Rams Thursday night and "stirred up" something in cornerback Richard Sherman, according to his head coach.
Facing first-and-goal from the 1-yard line late in the third quarter of Seattle's 24-3 win at CenturyLink Field, quarterback Russell Wilson threw a pass to tight end Jimmy Graham in the back of the end zone. The throw was nearly intercepted by Rams linebacker Bryce Hager, but after review the play was ruled an incomplete pass.
After the throw, Sherman went over to head coach Pete Carroll to animatedly protest the play call from offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell.
