RENTON, Wash. -- With the USC head coaching job open, rumors have surfaced about the school potentially reaching out to Pete Carroll.
Most notably, Dan Patrick said on his radio show that Carroll is on the short list of potential candidates.
The Seattle Seahawks head coach was asked Monday if he’s flattered by the reports.
"I will say this. I love USC. It’s a great place," Carroll said. "Flattered, I appreciate it, Dan, but that’s not happening. We’re in good shape here."
Carroll spent nine seasons at USC (2001-2009), winning seven Pac-12 titles and two national championships.
