Pete Carroll loved his early Christmas gift from Mike McCarthy

The Seattle Seahawks had to play their finest 15 minutes of the season to overtake the Green Bay Packers. The other 45 were just a bit erratic. Chris Carson started off with a fumble. Russell Wilson overthrew receivers so often you had to assume our quarterback thought Manute Bol was on the roster. A fourth string tight end beat the Hawks defense for a 54 yard bomb, on his first career reception. Pete Carroll was snapping his gum so fast I’m surprised SWAT wasn’t called in.

Yet in the end, all was well in Seattle.
