RENTON -- Aside from trading Jermaine Kearse, cutting receiver Kasen Williams was probably the biggest surprise of the weekend for the Seahawks, leaving most wondering why Seattle would waive a player that looked to be one of the team's most productive preseason performers.
"These decisions are extremely difficult and excruciating at times, based on the experience and time we spent together," coach Pete Carroll said Monday after practice, explaining what was "certainly" a difficult decision.
"There's a lot of stuff that we take into consideration, a lot more than any one aspect of the process. Kasen had great games and did a beautiful job for us and did well.
