RENTON, Wash. -- Whenever Neil deGrasse Tyson can take a break from running his planetarium and explaining how the universe works, Pete Carroll would like a call back.
The Seattle Seahawks coach said he reached out to the famed astrophysicist for an explanation on the physics involved in the most memorable play from Sunday night's win over the Eagles.
No, really.
"He hasn't called me back yet," Carroll said Monday. "I'm waiting for a call."
Carroll is hoping that whenever he does hear back, Tyson can explain why Russell Wilson's flip to running back Mike Davis was a legal, backward pass even if it didn't look like it.
