NFL eliminates chop block, long extra points are here to stay

The NFL announced a series of rule changes Tuesday, most notably expanding the definition of an illegal horse collar tackle, making all chop blocks illegal and keeping the PAT at the 15-yard line.

Here's the full list of changes adopted by the league, which is meeting in Boca Raton, Fla. this week for its annual meetings.

The rules will be adopted for the 2016 season.

1. By Competition Committee; Permanently moves the line of scrimmage for (PAT) kicks to the defensive team's 15-yard line, (a rule first adopted last year) and allows the defense to return any missed try.
