NFL changes rules to allow for just 5 tryouts per week

On Tuesday, the Seattle Seahawks brought in six players for tryouts, including veterans Mychal Kendricks and Damon Harrison. Later that same day, the league notified teams that they will only be permitted to have five players in for tryouts per week, as a part of tighter restrictions for COVID-19 protocols.

The NFL has notified teams they can bring in a max of five players per week for tryouts, source says. This is part of the tighter restrictions for COVID-19 protocols announced on a call with teams yesterday.

On Monday, the league sent a memo out to the 32 teams highlighting changes and further restrictions related to COVID-19 protocol, after both Titans-Steelers and Patriots-Chiefs had to be postponed in Week 4 due to positive tests.
