New Seahawks FB Marcel Reece ready to play wherever he's needed

RENTON -- New Seahawks fullback Marcel Reece isn't going to recognize Seattle owner Paul Allen's hands-off approach. Let me explain:

After joining the Raiders practice squad as an undrafted wide receiver out of Washington in 2008 and playing in just two games for the team in 2009, late Oakland owner Al Davis told Reece he would have an increased role with the team in his third NFL season. There was just one catch: he was going to switch positions.

"I showed up to training camp and Al Davis said I was his new fullback, is how it went," Reece told reporters from the locker room at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center on Wednesday.
