Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald made an interesting decision that, in the greater context of preseason, really doesn’t mean anything, but could provide some glimpse into what he would (or wouldn’t) do in the regular season.
Down 13-12 to the Tennessee Titans at the two-minute warning, the Seahawks could’ve gone for it on 4th and 1 in field goal range. A conversion would’ve extended the drive, put Jason Myers in closer range, and forced the Titans to burn timeouts. Instead, Myers kicked from 50 yards out and gave the Seahawks a late lead, which they would relinquish pretty easily with the third- and fourth-string defense out there.
