Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett and his brother Martellus shared a stage at the BET Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night to receive the network's Shine A Light award, which recognizes "exceptional accomplishments" in the community.
The two outspoken NFL stars have been very public with their community activism and have each established foundations in their name to benefit underprivileged communities.
Michael's The Bennett Foundation addresses child obesity through nutrition education and free, accessible programming in Washington, Hawaii and Texas. The 31-year-old Pro Bowler has pledged to donate all of his endorsement money in 2017 to charities that focus on helping minority communities and empowering women of color.
