ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — Detroit Lions wide receiver Golden Tate passed on a chance Thursday to clarify comments that created a stir.
He said earlier in the week on WMGC-FM that opposing players have told him they knew what the Lions were going to do on offense after each of their three games this year.
Lions coach Jim Caldwell and at least a few players said reactions to Tate's comments were overblown. Matthew Stafford jokes that maybe teams are hacking into the team's computers.
The winless Lions will travel to play the defending NFC champion Seattle Seahawks on Monday night.
