Kam Chancellor fails to report, costs himself a lot of money

The holdout of Kam Chancellor continues, and it now now is costing him real money. The Seattle Seahawks will have to play meaningful football games without their star strong safety.

In the NFL, Tuesday is the money day of the week. Players on the roster or practice squad on Tuesday will get a game check equal to 1/17th of their annual salary. By not reporting today, Chancellor has forfeited that game check.

According to Spotrac, Chancellor’s salary for the 2015 season is $4.55 million. That means that by failing to report today, Chancellor cost himself $267,647.
