It did not take very long for former Seattle Seahawks punter Jon Ryan to find his new team.
Ian Rapoport reported on Tuesday that Ryan is flying out to Buffalo and will sign with the Bills upon arrival. This comes after backup punter Cory Carter tore his ACL in the Bills’ win against the Cleveland Browns last week. Colton Schmidt is pretty much the default #1, but Ryan will be looking to supplant Schmidt over the next two weeks.
The 36-year-old Ryan was granted his release request by the Seahawks on Monday, as he looked to get a head start on finding a new team once it was apparent that he was going to lose his job to rookie sensation Michael Dickson.
