Quarterback Johnny Manziel apologized to the Cleveland Browns and their fans, and laid out his mission to regain their trust in a statement issued through the team Friday.
The statement was made about a week after the former Heisman Trophy winner from Texas A&M was discharged from an inpatient rehabilitation facility in which he spent more than 10 weeks receiving treatment for possible substance abuse.
In the statement, Manziel revealed his stay was at Caron Treatment Centers, a nonprofit provider of alcohol and drug-addiction treatment. It is believed he received treatment at the Wernersville, Pa., location. He checked in Jan.
