The Seattle Seahawks have reached an extension agreement with general manager John Schneider, according to ESPN's John Clayton. Schneider's contract was set to expire after the 2016 season, leading to some speculation about whether or not he would pursue a job as GM of the Green Bay Packers if it were to come available, but now we know that he's going to be around for at least as long as this present stretch run of greatness for the team.
The deal is said to come close to the $3.75 million per year that Ozzie Newsome makes with the Baltimore Ravens, which is the highest such amount in the NFL.
